Invivo Winery is a New Zealand operation known for innovation in winemaking and marketing. This is an example. Rob Cameron and Tim Lightbourne founded the company in 2008. It is based in the historic Te Kauwhata winery located south of Auckland in the Waikato region. The winery was founded by NZ wine pioneer Romeo Bragato.
Invivo makes several pinot noirs. This happens to be a an effort with actress Sarah Jessica Parker. This is no celebrity name slap on. By all accounts she has been deeply involved in all aspects of their wine collaboration. She participates in all the tasting and blending sessions. She invested money in the operation. She promotes the brand globally.
The involvement began when Invivo sent Parker and her husband, Matthew Broderick, some bottles. She already was familiar with the brand, drinking it during a time in Ireland. Her initial success and greatest involvement focused on sauvignon blanc—this is New Zealand, after all—but since has extended to several varietals, such as this pinot noir.
