Barefoot Rosa Red Blend NV: Ruby-cherry color; cherry candy nose; strawberry jam, cherry candy, frizzante (slightly effervescent) flirtations on the palate,
some tang amid the fruity sweetness. Very simple, sweet, almost cherry cola. Serious wine drinkers will spurn, but throngs of simple wine drinkers and wine newbies will find this delicious for their palate. I don’t pass judgement—if this pleasures your palate, go for it. And, like the entire Barefoot line, the price is fun, too. This is part of a spectrum. Barefoot Sweet Red Blend is not as sweet, Barefoot Rich Red Blend approaches dry. The Rosa Red is bright, very fruity, significantly sweet. $6-7
