Yellow with green hints color; peach, citrus on the nose; white peach, grapefruit, lemon, lime, citrus, melon on the palate.
Creamy, dry with crisp fruit and minerality, excellent acidity (3.10 pH), significant tang on the finish. This is very widely available and has nice price, but it is difficult to find something compelling in what essentially is a one-note effort. OK as an aperitif, but you can do better for a couple of dollars more. Clearly, however, this will work well in the many en vogue prosecco cocktails and mimosa where the other ingredients can provide character and depth while Cupcake delivers tang and acidity. $9-11
